Release Date: 30 September 2014
New York Times bestselling author Nalini Singh’s new contemporary romance novella is pure hard rock and scorching heat…
What happens when the Gentleman of Rock decides to play dirty?
A drummer for the hottest rock band on the planet, David has a single, powerful weakness: Thea, the band’s publicist and the woman who steals his breath away with her every move.
Only problem is, Thea doesn’t date clients—or musicians. Emotionally scarred by a cheating ex, she’s not about to risk her heart with a man who has groupies buzzing around him like flies. Even if his sexy smile ties her up in knots.
What she doesn’t know is that David is a one-woman man…and he’s madly in love with her. David’s determined to prove he’s worth the risk, and willing to court her, step by exquisite step. Thea’s about to discover just how long and hard this handsome drummer can play.
Thank you to The Knight Agency for providing me with an ARC via Netgalley.
This is the story of how David and Thea became together. David is also known as the gentleman of rock, he never takes his shirt off on stage and is always immaculate dressed and head over heels in love with Thea, the manager of his band Schoolboy Choir, since ever he laid eyes on her.
Thea, now recovering from her nasty break-up 6 months ago, has a rule to never date any of her clients. However she is head over heels for David as well.
One of the things I loved about this story is that it ran parallel with the story of Fox and Mollie without them taking the limelight away from David and Thea. We already know from Rock Addiction that Molly suggested David to write Thea a memo and in Rock Courtship we see what has been happening in the background with them! The memo’s I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVED the memos! The memos are cute, adorable and steamy hot! David is a true family man; I wanted to read more about his family. He will go through hell and back for the ones he loves dearly – including Thea! How she responds to his memos is hilarious to say the least. It was nice to read some more background on her and how she actually got in contact with Molly, being her half-sister. That she’s so fiercely protective of all of her family as well and that is Molly included. So is David of his family, so when there is someone within that circle of friends betrays David, he knows his family will suffer as well. Luckily, David and Thea managed to get past this rumour in a most likely heated discussion – only as lovers could do!
David so shy as a Rock star, so fiery he is in bed with Thea. Man oh Man! So much the contrast, loved it!
As the story runs parallel with Fox and Molly we could solely concentrate on David and Thea slowly turning towards each other.
I am definitely recommending this series.
As this is a novella of the Rock Kiss series, I would highly recommend to start this series with Rock Addiction.
