Jenna Ward is vivacious, spontaneous, and confident—except when she’s around the man who stole her heart years earlier, strikingly handsome, quiet, and reliable Pete Lacroux. After years of trying to get his attention and overwhelmed from dealing with her mother’s new cougar lifestyle, Jenna’s giving up on Peter—and is ready to explore other men.
As the eldest of five siblings, with an alcoholic father to care for, boat craftsman Pete Lacroux always does the right thing and has no time for a real relationship. He’s looking forward to seeing his friend Jenna, a welcome distraction who’s so damn sexy and so painfully shy that she equally entertains and confuses him.
When Jenna picks up a hard-bodied construction worker, jealousy ignites Pete’s true feelings, and he’s powerless to ignore the desires for Jenna he never realized he had. But Pete’s not the quiet guy he appears to be, and his life is anything but conducive to a relationship. Can Jenna handle the real Pete Lacroux—the sexiest, most passionate alpha male she’s ever seen—or will she crack under pressure? And can Pete reclaim the life he once had without tearing apart his family?

Twenty-four-year-old Kylie Reed has always been a rule follower. Organized and cautious to a fault, her dreams for life are often filed away for future use—when she has a house, when she meets her future husband, when she has been at her visual display job at a chic Dallas boutique longer…Kylie always has a reason for living her life in the future, not in the present, and not living her life to the fullest and reaching her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
The only exception to rules, of course, would be running away with Prince Harry—Kylie’s ideal man. A hot, fun ginger boy would be worth breaking all the rules for, of course. And Kylie is sure Harry just needs the right, centering woman to settle him down. But living in Dallas and not knowing Prince Harry make this a non-option.
Or does it?
Because when Kylie accidentally falls into the lap of a gorgeous ginger boy—yes, even more gorgeous than the real Prince Harry—all bets are off. Could this stranger be the one to show Kylie how to take a chance, to face her fears, and live in the present? And could this stranger be the Prince Harry she has been waiting for? A sexy, romantic fiction novella series
Release: October 21, 2014
Each novella is around 30k words
Anna Kirby is sick of dating. She’s tired of heartbreak. Despite being smart, sexy, and funny, she’s a magnet for men who don’t deserve her.
A week’s vacation in New York is the ultimate distraction from her most recent break-up, as well as a great place to meet a stranger and have some summer fun. But to protect her still-bruised heart, fun comes with rules. There will be no sharing stories, no swapping numbers, and no real names. Just one night of uncomplicated fun.
Super-successful serial seducer Ethan Scott has some rules of his own. He doesn’t date, he doesn’t stay the night, and he doesn’t make any promises.
It should be a match made in heaven. But rules are made to be broken.
A Week in New York is the first in a series of three novellas.
Joy Cartier has been to some of the most beautiful places in the world – but none of them have ever felt like home. So moving into a tiny cottage in the idyllic village of Bramble Hill, walking distance from her childhood home, seems like the perfect plan.
That is, until she gets there. The surly inhabitants of Britain’s Friendliest Village are anything but welcoming. Even her neighbour, reclusive Hollywood star Finn Mackenzie, takes one look at her and walks in the other direction.
But when the village animosity steps up a gear, it is the infuriatingly brooding Finn who keeps coming to her rescue. Slowly Joy begins to realise that maybe a happy home isn’t about where you live, but who you’re with…
Well I absolutely adored and loved this book!! My quick review of all main characters would be:
I want to slap Finn awake, Punch Zach, Hug Casey, fistpump Alex and want to shower Joy with all my love and give her a HEA sigh
Joy is such a loveable and likeable character, even though she’s going through some weird shit after moving into a nice village which is the most friendliest village of Britain! However the people in the village are not really ‘liking’ her. Joy has got a secret and it keeps you guessing for quite some time! She’s been through some heartbreak with her parents and I felt her loneliness for not having a home. The love she has got for her brother is amazing and the fiercely protective love Alex got for his sister is beautiful! It always reminds me of my own brother ^_^
Joy lives next door to Finn and Zach, now Zach I haven’t liked from the beginning but towards the end he finally put his stuff together and I found him a bit more likeable. Which means I really liked the character written by Amelia.
Finn – Oh Finn! I loved Finn from the beginning, but I wanted to slap him awake or sit him down and chat with him for a long time. I would love to take Finn and Casey to the pub, actually I would love to go to the pub and have a fantastic time with all of them!
Finn however needs to sort though his stuff and heartbreaks to finally get where he wants and needs to be with Joy. Overcome his fears and love with all of his heart!
Casey is a cutie and is willing to do whatever it takes for his loved ones, which is quite obvious. Which also results in the BEST WRITTEN WEDDING EVER! It was blooming hilarious, I even woke up my hubby from his slumber when I was laughing so loud! My heart was breaking for Casey and so happy for him later on!
I can definintely recommend this book, it is a definite page turner. It kept me guessing all the way towards the end of the book and rooting for Finn, Joy and Casey! I even loved the minor characters like Darcy and Billy and even Lily 🙂 So cute!
Go go read this book now! And don’t forget to check the awesome competition Amelia has set up which runs till 26th October and you can find on my blog here.
