SEASIDE SECRETS BY MELISSA FOSTER
Tony Black is the hottest surfer on the planet. He travels the world throughout the year and spends his summers on Cape Cod with his friends, at the Seaside cottages in Wellfleet, Massachusetts. He’s got his choice of women, but Amy Maples is the one he wants. Fourteen years ago she was his for an entire summer, until a devastating accident changed everything, and what they had seemed like it had never existed—at least for her.
Amy Maples is as consistent as the day is long. She’s spent summers on Cape Cod forever, she always does the right thing, and she’s spent years trying to reclaim the heart of Tony Black, the only man she’s ever loved. She’s back for a summer of fun with her friends at Seaside, only this year she’s been offered the opportunity of a lifetime thousands of miles away, and she’s decided to try one last time to reconnect with Tony. But having a relationship with Tony means dealing with her past—and dealing with her past may knock her to her knees.
I found this a cute and nice sweet story, exactly what I needed! I have felt the heartbreak in the beginning and I was rooting so much for Tony and Amy to be together. They had to sort out their lives and their past and I think that they done that in a beautiful and believable way.
I have never read any books from Melissa Foster, this one was my first and I didn’t felt at any point that I was missing bits of the story as this book belongs to a series. Which I quite like about it, it actually made me want to read more about their other friends and how they all found their love and got together.
There were times where I thought that Amy was a bit whiney, understandably sometimes, but she came across a bit needy and demanding. But she set that straight when her business side finally came out! Tony is just one hot surfer dude and soooo in love with Amy, and vice versa. I could read that throughout the whole book.
If you are looking for a feel-good story with a little bit of heartbreak but where bridges are being crossed and difficulties are conquered together with a happy ending then I would suggest reading this book. The ending was a little bit too cheesy for me, but that is more a personal preference than about the story itself.
Go read it – you won’t be disappointed!
