In New York Times Bestselling author Nalini Singh’s newest contemporary romance, passion ignites between a gorgeous, sinfully sexy man who built himself up from nothing and a shy woman who has a terrible secret in her past…
Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.
And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.
Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.
If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on.

I have been waiting a long time for the story about Charlie (Charlotte or Ms Baird) and T-Rex (Gabe, Gabriel, Tiger) and it is finally here and I absolutely loved it!
First of all, what I love about the Rock Kiss Series is that when you first get introduced about couples in other books, is that their book will start with those familiar stories. You want to know what their thoughts are in that particular situation. Take Charlie, we meet her as she’s Molly’s rock and we first heard about T-Rex in that story! Well remember that part they were talking about a bracelet? Welll….. that’s where we are as well. And this is something I really really adore about Nalini’s Rock Kiss series.
Charlie is a quivering Mouse when we meet her and Gabriel is an overpowering T-Rex who, when he takes over as CEO for the company Charlie is working for, is named like that by her because he literally chews people and spits them out in his first week.
We slowly uncover and discover the story about Charlie’s past, why she is the way she is. The discovery of little things is slow, which goes exactly with the speed of Charlie’s need and will to deal with the past. Gabriel doesn’t understand why she cowers away and quivers, but he knows that she’s got brains, is very smart and in the first week of his takeover he promotes her to his PA as he has soon figured out who he needs by his side. This is also a selfish act later on, as he likes Charlie. But soon he realises she just doesn’t fit in his normal conquers… He start to feel something for her.
Her story, her past is sad I had to wipe away a few tears and I felt violent towards Richard. That someone is capable of doing these things to an individual is beyond me. But unfortunately these things do happen in the real world 😦
I adored Gabriels family, including Brian. Although I feel quite angry towards him for what he’s done, but that only means for me that the characters have been written perfectly and are inciting every emotion they should be! He’s so patient with Charlie and gives her space when needed, but isn’t without his own fails of course. When someone is used in taken command it is hard to let go in this situation and sometimes they do go head to head, but that only sums up a good written story for me.
All in all, I absolutely adored this story and I will definitely pick it up again after this review has been written. The story is full of Romance and strength, strength to overcome something really horrific and I actually felt really proud of Charlie as she’s one of my own besties!
Go read read read! This story can be read as a stand-a-alone, but I WOULD definitely recommend reading the series in order and start with Rock Addiction #1 (Review here) and Rock Courtship #1.5 (Review here). Trust me, you will thank me afterwards ^_^
