Hi!
Welcome to my Book blog, my name is Charlie and I am an avid reader. I eat, demolish books… And I thought why not combine my two loves in one go? To keep reading, but also write about the books I’ve read. What a fab combination!

In the future I would love to dedicate a room to books. As space is an issue most books are on my beloved Kindle, and the books itself are slowly streaming in via the lovely post man.

Not only you will find book reviews on here that I’ve read or am reading, but also handy gadgets, maybe some author interviews, pictures and way more. Hopefully in the future I can start reviewing books that authors have sent me, that would be amazing.
I love talking about books, books and books and I will only give my honest opinion about the books I’ve read. I have decided against a star system on my blog as I will always let you know my thoughts about and sometimes the book captures me on the characters and sometimes on the complete story and I feel that I can’t give it a proper rating if I can’t compare it with each other. So I will always let you know if I can’t let go of my books. The latter happens quite often and then I find myself reading the book/series over and over again. How do you mean addictive?

I’m trying to get a few weekly posts in such as: ‘This Week Book Haul’ which can be a singular book, series or part of a series where I show you which books I have won, bought or gifted etc. And I want to do a ‘Quote on Wednesday’, where you can find one of my favourite quotes from books, trust me there are a few around. And I will try to post on the last day of the month, or the first day of the next month, a post about my book haul that month. This could be either in books, on kindle, audiobook. I’m looking forward to it!

    Setting for Sacred Choices:
    On a mission, Ceren Hernandez travels to Mexico City during the Day-of-the-Dead festivities. Everywhere, she sees the face of death. Sugar skulls, pan de muerto, and macabre, skeleton carvings vie for her attention. People wearing white-washed faces with skull make-up seem to jeer as she pushes through the crowds toward the clinic. The entire country’s celebrating the lives of dead children, and I’m going to kill my baby today, of all days.
    Near St. Michael’s statue at Mount Tepeyac, an old woman wearing a necklace of tiny skulls and a serpentine armband appears just as a storm approaches. The wind shrieks, and the air crackles. Violet-blue tufts of flame suddenly flash above the archangel statue’s head, creep down its sword, and arc to the woman’s armband. The woman touches her hand, passing the flame, and Ceren’s life takes a turn….
