Ahhh here is finally my review on Silver Shadows! There is so much love for this book, that it took me a while to make coherent thoughts other then sigh Adrian. I do have to admit I am easily pleased haha ^_^ (Sorry Adrian!!)
Silver Shadows (Bloodlines #5) – Richelle Mead
Publisher: Puffin Books
Release Date: 29 July 2014
Sydney Sage is an Alchemist, one of a group of humans who dabble in magic and serve to bridge the worlds of humans and vampires. They protect vampire secrets—and human lives.
In The Fiery Heart, Sydney risked everything to follow her gut, walking a dangerous line to keep her feelings hidden from the Alchemists.
Now in the aftermath of an event that ripped their world apart, Sydney and Adrian struggle to pick up the pieces and find their way back to each other. But first, they have to survive.
For Sydney, trapped and surrounded by adversaries, life becomes a daily struggle to hold on to her identity and the memories of those she loves. Meanwhile, Adrian clings to hope in the face of those who tell him Sydney is a lost cause, but the battle proves daunting as old demons and new temptations begin to seize hold of him. . . .
Their worst fears now a chilling reality, Sydney and Adrian face their darkest hour in this heart-pounding fifth installment in the New York Times bestselling Bloodlines series, where all bets are off.
It wasn’t possible that one person could make you experience so many emotions at once, that one person could trigger a universe of feelings, simply with the sound of your name.
Welcome to the Blog tour and an Excerpt of Hidden Intentions! As always let me know in the comments what you think and if you’ve read this book ^_^
Well the normal July Bookhaul will come next week – which is a busy week full of Reviews, book blasts and cover reveals. But I will reveal about those in a later post.
But first things first, a good friend of mine needed to make room in her house as she will be welcoming a babba in the family! So massive congratulations to her of course!
But to make room, she needed to get rid of 45 books… You can guess… They are now currently sitting on the floor in the living room while I sort them out and give them a forever home on my book shelf ^_^ So Thank you Babs!! You know me well!
But I also wanted you to see what books she’s given me and what I hope to read in the next coming months, maybe even years haha! I have taken the pics in batches of 5, just because I felt like it ^_^
1. Lair of the Lion – Christine Feehan (Been wanting to read this for ages, so happy I’ve got it now)
2. Wild Fire – Christine Feehan (I have the first book, and I love the Leopard Series)
3. Scarletti Curse – Christine Feehan (I read this on my Kindle, but love having this paperback)
4. Ascension – Caris Roane (Never heard of this book/author before so another one to add to my list)
5. Avenger’s Angel – Heather Killough-Walden (Got this recommended by a friend, but now I’ve got it!)
Ahhh finally I am able to write my review of Shield of Winter, Psy-Changeling #13, by Nalini Singh! I loved this book so much that it took me a while to put it into words – other than just saying I LOOOOOOVEEEEE VASIC AND IVY! As… well.. it is not really a review isn’t it? haha!
Assassin. Soldier. Arrow. That is who Vasic is, who he will always be. His soul drenched in blood, his conscience heavy with the weight of all he’s done, he exists in the shadows, far from the hope his people can almost touch—if only they do not first drown in the murderous insanity of a lethal contagion. To stop the wave of death, Vasic must complete the simplest and most difficult mission of his life.
For if the Psy race is to survive, the empaths must wake…
Having rebuilt her life after medical “treatment” that violated her mind and sought to stifle her abilities, Ivy should have run from the black-clad Arrow with eyes of winter frost. But Ivy Jane has never done what she should. Now, she’ll fight for her people, and for this Arrow who stands as her living shield, yet believes he is beyond redemption. But as the world turns to screaming crimson, even Ivy’s fierce will may not be enough to save Vasic from the cold darkness…
