Yessssss I have been looking forward to this book for years! Finally it’s here, it’s massive and then I started reading and I didn’t want it to end! But I have done it and below you can find my review on City of Heavenly Fire – Cassandra Clare. As always I would recommend you start reading this series, The Mortal Instruments, from the start with book 1 – City of Bones.
City of Heavenly Fire (TMI #6) – Cassandra Clare
In this dazzling and long-awaited conclusion to the acclaimed Mortal Instruments series, Clary and her friends fight the greatest evil they have ever faced: Clary’s own brother.
Sebastian Morgenstern is on the move, systematically turning Shadowhunter against Shadowhunter. Bearing the Infernal Cup, he transforms Shadowhunters into creatures out of nightmare, tearing apart families and lovers as the ranks of his Endarkened army swell.
The embattled Shadowhunters withdraw to Idris – but not even the famed demon towers of Alicante can keep Sebastian at bay. And with the Nephilim trapped in Idris, who will guard the world against demons?
When one of the greatest betrayals the Nephilim have ever known is revealed, Clary, Jace, Isabelle, Simon, and Alec must flee – even if their journey takes them deep into the demon realms, where no Shadowhunter has set foot before, and from which no human being has ever returned…
Love will be sacrificed and lives lost in the terrible battle for the fate of the word in the thrilling final installment of the classic urban fantasy series The Mortal Instruments!
This series is on my TBR pile for a while. I haven’t bought the books yet, but they are on my list. Yes, I not only have a Kindle TBR pile, I also have a physical TBR book pile and a written TBR list in my blog note book… Too many books not much enough time!
Anyways, the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy is waiting on my list for a long time, I have read and heard great things about it and the covers are quite amazing to look at as well. I am hoping I will be able to lend the ebook from the library soon. But first you will find below the gorgeous covers, the blurbs and book trailers.
Above is the gorgeous hardcover gift set I found on Amazon.co.uk. This is definitely on my birthday list ^_^
“Sometimes, when I have to do something I don’t want to do, I pretend I’m a character from a book. It’s easier to know what they would do.”
I have been wanting to do this post for a while, but I got so busy with all these awesome cover reveals…. But here it is! The Infernal Devices is one of my favourite Young Adult series. I can highly recommend this series to anyone who loves the Young Adult genre.
There are three books in the Infernal Devices series: Clockwork Angel, Clockwork Prince, and Clockwork Princess. The Infernal Devices are often called a prequel series to the Mortal Instruments, but only because they take place in an earlier time period and contain some of the Mortal Instruments’ characters’ ancestors. You don’t have to read the Mortal Instruments before The Infernal Devices. You don’t have to read the The Infernal Devices before The Mortal Instruments. You can read them in any order.
