My weekly #Sundaychallenge on Twitter

Hey all!

I thought I would make a lovely blog post about my participation in the #Sundaychallenge that is being hosted by @ThisChickReads on Twitter, check out her blog too, This Chick Reads!
I will try to make this a weekly post to promote this challenge and to let you know what I will be reading.

I have started a couple of weeks ago and every week there is a different challenge in reading a book, so far I have participated in a Comedy book, Christmas Book and a Book part of a Series. I have enjoyed every single one of them and I really wanted to share this with you.
Participating is easy, on Saturday or Sunday @ThisChickReads will let you know what the challenge is and then all you have to do is tweet her back and say you’re in! You can also already tell her what book you’ll be reading – the challenge starts on Sunday 1pm. The only time frame is that you finish it before the next challenge begins.
It will be a good way to either get you back into reading or, like I do, try to combine this challenge with my open Netgalley books. But it also might get you to pick up that certain book you’ve been wanting to read for ages!
Oh and there is a little price at the end of the challenge as well, if you’ve participated and finished the challenge you are in a draw to win prices! So that might be another little motivation to start and enjoy this #Sundaychallenge.

Review: Dark Blood (Dark #26) – Christine Feehan

This is a review for Dark Blood (Dark #26) written by Christine Feehan. This book is part of a series, so if you haven’t read any of the Carpathian series before this series might not only involve spoilers but also it wouldn’t make much sense as this is not a stand a lone book. Go start from Dark Prince (Dark #1) and get yourself swept away with the Carpathian way of life! ^_^

Dark Blood (Dark #26) – Christine Feehan
Published: 02/09/2014
Publisher: Piatkus Books

Synopsis

Dark Blood The fates of a warrior reborn and a seductive Dragonseeker are irrevocably entwined in the new Carpathian novel by #1 New York Times bestselling author Christine Feehan, “the queen of paranormal romance” (J. R. Ward).

At long last you are truly back with us…

Zev Hunter was an elite warrior, a dark-blood dealer of death to rogue Lycans who preyed on mankind. He was a loner, never given to personal attachments, and damned fierce at his job. But Zev begins to question his past and his purpose when he awakens in the darkness of the sacred cave of warriors—and is soothed back to consciousness by the sensuously familiar voice of one woman, the woman who has haunted his fantasies for centuries. She was Branislava, member of the Dragonseeker clan…

Mother Earth called the ancients to witness your rebirth…

For this half-mage, half-Carpathian temptress, the ritual of awakening Zev to the council of warriors was the only way to save him. Locked away for his own protection, the time has now come for his rebirth, for his blood to stir with that of the ancient warriors before him. He has been assured by Branislava that their fates are entwined, that their spirits are woven together for eternity and that his new purpose in life is beyond imagining.

Now, with a blood-sworn vow of honor, mercy and endurance, and under the influence of a siren as bewitching as Branislava, Zev begins to wonder what his purpose is, what it means for the future of the Carpathians and what it is about his rebirth that he has to fear…

Book haul from a friend

Well the normal July Bookhaul will come next week – which is a busy week full of Reviews, book blasts and cover reveals. But I will reveal about those in a later post.

But first things first, a good friend of mine needed to make room in her house as she will be welcoming a babba in the family! So massive congratulations to her of course!
But to make room, she needed to get rid of 45 books… You can guess… They are now currently sitting on the floor in the living room while I sort them out and give them a forever home on my book shelf ^_^ So Thank you Babs!! You know me well!

But I also wanted you to see what books she’s given me and what I hope to read in the next coming months, maybe even years haha! I have taken the pics in batches of 5, just because I felt like it ^_^

Aren’t they pretty pretty books??

Favourite Quote

This is one of my favourite quotes; This is the mating ritual between Carpathian lifemates written by Christine Feehan.

“I claim you as my life mate. I belong to you. I offer my life for you. I give to you my protection, my allegiance, my heart, my soul, and my body. I take into my keeping the same that is yours. Your life, happiness, and welfare will be cherished and placed above my own for all time. You are my life mate, bound to me for all eternity and always in my care.”

Love,
Charlie
