The eagerly anticipated follow-up to One Hundred Proposals.

If you thought Harry & Suzie’s life couldn’t get anymore sweepingly romantic than Harry asking her to marry him at the end of One Hundred Proposals – think again!

It’s Christmas in a snow-kissed London, and the.PerfectProposal.com have vowed to carry out one hundred proposals in December. No easy task at the best of times – made even more complicated by Harry & Suzie trying to plan their first Christmas and a visit from the dreaded in-laws. But one hundred deliciously Christmassy proposals later they find themselves asking if everything is still perfect in their own relationship….

Welcome back to the divinely warm world of One Hundred Proposals – with a sprinkling of pure, joyful, festive magic.

Have yourself a very merry Christmas indeed with Holly Martin’s Christmas novella.

My thoughts

I loved coming back to the story of Harry and Suzie! They managed to steal a piece of my heart and wedge themselves in there forever!
We are coming back to the story where they are now engaged for a couple of months (I re-read One Hundred Proposals again just to read about his proposal) and Suzie is ready to tie the knot!

But ofcourse their business the.perfectproposal.com has given themselves the challenge to do 100 proposals in December! Very ambitious but very doable as every proposal gets chocolates, champagne and flowers (heck even I wanted to recreate a proposal to my now husband for free champagne hehe).

Suzie is in charge of arranging the last proposal on New Years Eve in London and is very excited she’s getting free reign in it so she basically creates something she would really love!

I absolutely loved Harry’s devotion to Suzie and Suzie’s almost impatience with getting married! Loved reading about their best friends as well.

This is a perfect Christmas read and a perfect novella for One Hundred Proposals. I could only describe it as you had an amazing fantastic main course in one of your favourite restaurants (One Hundred Proposals) and you end the night with the best dessert ever (One Hundred Christmas Proposals) to compliment eachother!

I would recommend reading One Hundred Proposals first – just to get you an idea how they got where they are right now in life.

More Holly books please!

Books read in July

Hello all,

I thought I would try out a new feature for my blog – my books read in the previous month! Next month I will also add ‘books bought’ and ‘books received’. But the latter was so much (check my post on book haul from a friend) that I decided to keep it at books read for this time ^_^

Even though I had a bit of a book slumber and besides it was mega busy at work I did managed to read a total of 6 books. A couple of reviews are already up and a couple are coming, but I will let you know about these below.

Review: The Guestbook – Holly Martin

Welcome to my review of The Guestbook by Holly Martin, let me first start off to say that I’ve never really experienced a writing style like this and I quite enjoyed it. Of course you could see this as a sort of diary, but it actually read as a guestbook you would find at a sweet and lovely cottage.
But I am moving forward way too fast, let me first introduce you to this lovely book.

The Guestbook – Holly Martin

Guestbook Welcome to Willow Cottage – throw open the shutters, let in the sea breeze and make yourself completely at home. Oh, and please do leave a comment in the Guestbook! As landlady of Willow Cottage, the young widow Annie Butterworth is always on hand with tea, sympathy or strong Norfolk cider – whatever her colourful array of guests require. A flick through the messages in the leather-bound cottage guestbook gives a tantalizing glimpse into the lives of everyone who passes through her doors. This includes Annie herself – especially now celebrity crime writer Oliver Black, is back in town. He might grace the covers of gossip magazines with a different glamorous supermodel draped on his arm every week, but to Annie, he’s always just been Olly, the man who Annie shared her first kiss with. Through the pages of the Guestbook Annie and Olly, along with all the guests that arrive at the seaside retreat, struggle with love, loss, mystery, joy, happiness, guilt…and the odd spot of naked rambling! Forget sending postcards saying wish you were here – one visit to Willow Cottage and you’ll wish you could stay forever.

Review: One Hundred Proposals – Holly Martin

My first book this year I can add to the Best Summer Reads of all times! If you are looking for a lovely, fun, light-hearted, flirty and romantic summer read, then you definitely should add this book to your collection. I already know that I will read this book for long summer years to come!

One Hundred Proposals – Holly Martin

one hundred proposals ‘Is there really such a thing as a perfect proposal?
Over the next hundred days I intend to find out. I will find one hundred ways to propose to our Chief Proposer Suzie McKenzie and post the results here for your enjoyment. One thing’s for sure, not one of my proposals will be on top of the Eiffel Tower with a dozen red roses.’

Best friends Suzie and Harry are partners in romance. That is, they run the.PerfectProposal.com, coming to the aid of would-be grooms to create the ultimate marriage proposal.

But when Harry decides to catapult the business into the big leagues with a PR stunt all Suzie can see is a hundred days of heartbreak stretching ahead of her. But however exotic the location, or breath-takingly romantic the setting, Suzie has to keep remembering that ‘Marry Me?’ is the one question she can’t say yes to.

This business proposal should come with one hundred broken heart warnings…

One hundred proposals, one hundred chances to say yes.
