I thought I would try out a new feature for my blog – my books read in the previous month! Next month I will also add ‘books bought’ and ‘books received’. But the latter was so much (check my post on book haul from a friend) that I decided to keep it at books read for this time ^_^
Even though I had a bit of a book slumber and besides it was mega busy at work I did managed to read a total of 6 books. A couple of reviews are already up and a couple are coming, but I will let you know about these below.
One Hundred Proposals – Holly Martin
Release date: 25 June 2014
This is the book that made me fall in love with Holly Martin. I just really enjoyed this book – the first of my ultimate Summer Books I can recommend highly to read EVERY summer ^_^. I can’t praise this book enough.
(check out my Review)
Yesss I can finally post my Landline Review as I now am a proud owner of a Samsung Chromebook! Yippie!!
Oh can we also just look at the pretty cover? It is soooo gorgeous!
Landline – Rainbow Rowell
Synopsis Georgie McCool knows her marriage is in trouble. That it’s been in trouble for a long time. She still loves her husband, Neal, and he still loves her – but that almost seems besides the point now. Two days before they’re supposed to visit Neal’s family in Omaha for Christmas, Georgie tells him that she can’t go. She’s a TV writer, and something’s come up on her show; she has to stay in Los Angeles. She knows that Neal will be upset with her – he is always a little upset with her – but she doesn’t expect to him to pack up the kids and go home without her. When her husband and the kids leave for the airport, Georgie wonders if she’s finally done it. If she’s ruined everything. That night, Georgie discovers a way to communicate with Neal in the past. It’s not time travel, not exactly, but she feels like she’s been given an opportunity to fix her marriage before it starts… Is that what she’s supposed to do? Or would Georgie and Neal be better off if their marriage never happened?
