“I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.”
Harry Potter is lucky to reach the age of thirteen, since he has already survived the murderous attacks of the feared Dark Lord on more than one occasion. But his hopes for a quiet term concentrating on Quidditch are dashed when a maniacal mass-murderer escapes from Azkaban, pursued by the soul-sucking Dementors who guard the prison. It’s assumed that Hogwarts is the safest place for Harry to be. But is it a coincidence that he can feel eyes watching him in the dark, and should he be taking Professor Trelawney’s ghoulish predictions seriously?
Now I can her you say a review? Of Harry Potter? Have you never read these before? Well this is a Re-read, but 1st time in English as other books were read in Dutch many moons ago! And with many moons ago I mean, many moons ago. Way before I moved to the UK! It must have been 2005 at least.
It is really lovely to read these books and knowing the films inside and out, how much of the books have been kept in the films and what has been slight different changes, subtle changes, that have been made. Of course these must’ve been made for the film and the flow.
The book was wonderful and amazing and I love reading more about the interaction between Harry, Ron and Hermoine. But also between these three and the rest of the school.
This is definitely something I would keep reading and hopefully one day when I am blessed with kids, I will read this to them when they’re old enough.
