My Thoughts – Captivate Me
I did quite enjoyed this book, it was a nice and easy read a very welcome between some pills I have been reading lately ^_^
I found a connection with Kat straight away, her story of feeling out of sorts at a ‘normal’ school sounded too familiar. I instantly liked Kat and wanted to know what she was doing and how she’s finding it on her new school. She’s got some lovely friends around her and Levi, I mention Levi specifically as Kat seems to think that he’s The One – she has decided to follow her Mom’s advice on having fun and it is quite obvious from the start that Levi likes her. ^^ I was kinda rooting for them in the beginning! But then the love triangle started, now I have quite a dislike for love triangles in YA novels, but it kinda worked here.
Kat comes across like a real teenager, swearwords here and there and don’t forgot the normal teenage problems. Oh did I mentioned that Kat has got Paranormal powers? Wicked! I wish I had those when I was a teenager ^^ I loved the pace of the book and the twists and turns were quite unexpected – I was truly captivated by this book.
I can definitely recommend this book and I will be reading the next one in the series as well ^_^
